The Ford Racing UK and the Circuit Croix en Ternois have agreed a race weekend for UK Ford race cars at the prestigious Historic GP weekend. The Croix event is scheduled for the weekend of 21st and 22nd April 2018 and will be predominantly for any smaller Ford race car. On the bill will be international single-seaters/GTs and saloons. Interest is already good with a near two dozen drivers looking to race. This is billed as a fun weekend. There will be testing opportunities on Friday 20th April. The race entry cost is Euros 330 around £285. Testing will be extra and will be advised when known.
The circuit has undergone some upgrades to surface and corner re-alignment which makes the two km track more flowing. Our French hosts have full electric/water points in the main paddock together with paddock toilet and shower facilities. The relaxed style will be evident and viewing points are great from the top of the main restaurant building.
The circuit is near equi-distant at 60 miles from either Calais or Dieppe. The roads are quieter and towing is a breeze. Remember to have the warning triangle and enough yellow waistcoats for each passenger. A first aid kit is recommended. Note: the requirement to have breath test kits carried in vehicles has been suspended.
Race drivers will require to have a UK race licence of at least National A status. All paperwork will be handled by Ford Racing UK and this will include race entry and registration forms etc..
