Cadwell Park – History in the making for Puma Cup
Ford Racing UK was proud to be a part of this historic day at Cadwell Park on Saturday 17th September where the Classic & Sports Car Club event would see the very first stand alone dedicated Puma Cup Series race. In all senses the day had been superb and seen the Puma Cup endurance race of 40 minutes and the 15 minute sprint race. Including the 30 minute qualifying period the CSCC gave Puma Cup some 95 Minutes of track time for an inclusive cost of £395. Compared with other ‘premier’ race clubs, this is probably the best value around. Thank you CSCC.
The Puma Cup has continued to enjoy bigger grids over previous seasons and this year has seen a near growth figure of 50%.
The outlook for us at Ford Racing UK is to rent our existing car and then either race or rent our second car out as well. If the call is as great as we anticipate then the third and fourth cars will be in the pipeline. The 2017 season is looking more promising by the month and it seems that the Series will see up to 20 Puma Cup cars out for next season.
We enjoyed our time at Cadwell Park and would like to thank our sponsors and fellow competitors for being so helpful and friendly. See you on October 8th at Oulton Park when we go head to head with the BRSCC XR Challenge in a double header day at the Cheshire track.
